Bio:
Ruth grew up in the Cotswolds and completed her MChem at Newcastle University in 2018. In 2019, she began an MPhil under Dr Cucinotta looking at inorganic light-emitting materials in plasmonic nanosystems. Ruth joined the group in 2021 studying organic materials for LEDs working as a joint student with Dr Jon Knowles. Ruth sings in multiple choirs in her spare time, and enjoys travelling and spending time with her friends.

Bio:
Aidan completed his MChem at Northumbria University in 2022. He began working as a research assistant for Dr Valery Kozhevnikov of Northumbria University synthesising luminescent rhenium (i) complexes for biorthogonal click reactions. Aidan joined the group in 2023 designing caged-chromophore systems for potential OLED use. Outside of the laboratory, Aidan is an avid musician, with radio play on BBC Radio 1.

Bio:
Will started his undergraduate in Physics in 2019 at Northumbria University obtaining a first-class BSc in Physics in 2022. Will started his PhD in the group of Dr Giulia Longo at Northumbria University in October 2022 on alternative synthetic routes to chalcogenide perovskites. Will then transferred to the group in Summer 2024, as Giulia returned to Spain. Will likes painting and graphic design in his spare time.
